Setup E-mail on iPhone

Smart Phones have come along way with many great features such as MMS, Wifi, a multitude of downloadable free apps and more. Read this guide to setup your email account on your iPhone. Note that you'll need to have your account details to hand in order to make the most of it.

To set up your Email on your iPhone, follow these steps:

Unlock your iPhone, and make sure that you have a Wi-Fi, 3G or Edge data connection active.
Go to Settings and then Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Touch Add Account under the Accounts heading and select the account type - if you are unsure or none of your accounts match any in the list select Other.


Next, touch Add Mail Account under the Mail section: 


Enter your name, E-mail address, Password and a Description into their respective boxes and touch Next and wait for the process to complete:


If your server settings were not automatically detected you will need to enter further details as shown below:


Once you have confirmed your E-mail type (IMAP or POP - try POP first) and entered your Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server settings click Next and your iPhone is now set up to send and receive your emails.
