Atbroker.exe “application failed to initialize properly” - Remote Desktop to Windows 7

The Symptoms...

You initiate a remote session and after typing in your password the system presents you with the following dialogue box:

 After clicking 'OK' you are left with a black screen and no desktop display.

Note: You may login to your Windows 7 PC via Remote Desktop and simply get a Blank Screen without the above error message.

The Solution...

1. Press and hold in sequence the following keys on your keyboard: Ctrl + Alt + End

2. You'll be presented with the usual 'Ctrl + Alt + Del' menu select task manager and the desktop should appear.
