The Cause...

This only seems to happen on Outlook 2007 clients connected to an Exchange Server( more common on Exchange 2007). Microsoft have put it down to network authentication issues with the way Outlook talks to the Exchange Server. Microsoft claim that the issue was addressed in their release of Office 2007 Service Pack 1 - however in our experience this problem has presented itself even after this was installed in some instances...

 The Solution...

Step 1. The first thing to check is that the 'Save My Credentials' or 'Remember My Password' box is checked when you enter your username/password at the next prompt. If you did tick the box and you still continue to get prompted go to step 2 below...

Step 2. The first solution recommended by Microsoft is to install Outlook 'hotfix 957909' - this installs as part of Microsoft Office Service Pack 2. This has to be requested from their site - Click Here and accept the license agreement then tick the box for the listed product and fill out the form. Once you have been provided with the download link - install the hotfix and restart your PC/Laptop. If the problem hasn't been resolved or you happen to know that this hotfix is already installed on your system go to step 3.

Step 3. If none of the above easy fixes worked for you Contact Us and one of our engineers will be able to resolve it for you remotely.
